Who Is Voilà!?

The point of Voilà! is to collect a handful of diverse, unique, and wholly interesting people together in one place, to do one thing: write about the music they all love.

All of the writers are our favourites, and all of the writers are our best. There is no discrimination due to what music they like, how they write, or what they write about. Everyone is an equal, and everyone has a say.

These are some of the fantastic writers that are our backbone, and that Voilà! prides itself in:

Well done for discovering minuscule hey. I saw them at the back end of last year with the equally impressive headliners The Do at the back end of last year. Minuscule hey have that left field audio/visual thing going on, both on stage and in their clever video’s. And while not everything immediately clicks, there are enough catchy moments, and some judicious use of dynamics to make their songs like Mississippi and the stuttering time changes of Uncle Jim stand out.
If ever there was a band that toyed with the conundrum of more is less and musically illustrated the phrase, a little goes a long way, then they are it.
They may not have reinvented Dylan, but they certainly have their own take on musical history with a contemporary twist.
